Karos & Kambro is a Non Profit Youth Development Organisation (011-268) operating on a national level in South Africa. The performing arts, nature, fun and adventure form part of this integrated skills development programme. The programme provides a behaviour change vehicle and helps to stimulate a healing and a transformation process in the lives of vulnerable youths
I will tell you, you have changed our lives and gave us an opportunity to build one another as sisters and brothers
KAROS & KAMBRO

Karos is a blanket made out of animal skin – through this project theatre is like a blanket of warmth to wounded children.
A karos of friendship through theatre as powerful communication medium enfolds vulnerable young people and disadvantaged communities. Values of sharing and responsibility is spreading in communities and results in a movement of hope.

Kambro is a hidden succulent or vetplant growing underneath the soil in harsh desert-like conditions, containing a nutritious juice. This is symbolic of unearthing the hidden potential (like the hidden Kambro juice) of extremely disadvantaged children.
